I started to learn how to paddleboard on the North Sea, but I knew I needed to become stronger and get fitter at the same time.

Training with Adam is fantastic! He knows just how hard to push you in each session and believes in your abilities when you don’t believe in them yourself. He plans every session each week taking in to account any personal goals and also any health issues. Each session is different and the variety keeps things interesting. 18 months ago I was at rock bottom, I had a family bereavement. I was obese, unfit and “out of control” type 2 diabetic. I began training with Adam Jones and with his gentle support and expert guidance I have lost a significant amount of weight, grown in personal confidence and fitness, and no longer require medication for my diabetes. My doctor and diabetic nurse are amazed by the turn around and I owe a large part of this to Adam. I hadn’t exercised seriously for 20 years- Adams approach, manner and commitment has effected a real transformation.
I started training with Adam in early 2015 after a personal tragedy, without his guidance and support as my trainer and now friend I don’t know where I would be. Each session with Adam he pushes me to improve and his fresh ideas mean that not every session is the same. He has changed my life not just physically but mentally as well. I first came to see Adam after having a minor heart operation to lose weight and build up my fitness levels – three years later, I’ve never looked back! With the help of Adam, I’ve ran four half marathons, competed in two CrossFit competitions and I’m currently training for my first powerlifting competition. Having been an avid runner. A jog round the local park or street was becoming a bit tedious. I needed a fresh challenge so I decided to join Adam Jones Fitness. I enrolled on a fitness programme doing gym based exercises. I had a one to one consultation with Adam regarding my nutrition and my personal goals. He designed an exercise plan that catered to my individual needs, ability and affordability and one that I could work around my working life. Adam made my exercise plan fun, exciting and challenging. In came a whole load of new stuff and a whole new life in gym based activities and jargon proceeded. My level of fitness has greatly improved and so has my balance and my core strength. Adam is a great personal trainer who instils self-belief in you so you can reach your own personal goals. Nearly a year on I’m still with Adam Jones Fitness and still get time to run the odd 10k race now and again.
When I first met Adam I wasn’t sure he would want to take on a forty something overweight, unfit married woman. But I was wrong, he took me on and changed my whole outlook on health and fitness.
With his patience enthusiasm and motivation, he taught me that I could do so many things that I never thought possible. Adam is a fantastic trainer and if he can teach me to run, box, lift over 60kg and change my view on food, he can do it for anyone. He makes exercise fun.

I wanted training to improve my overall fitness and improve strength. The workouts Adam gave me were simple but very effective. Within a month I noticed results. There is no giving up and he is always there to make sure you reach your goals.
I play football for Morecambe Football Clubs youth team. At the beginning and the end of the season, I went to Adam to maintain and improve my fitness, in particular, endurance, balance and overall strength.
Over an 8 week period, I had one hour sessions 3 times a week. After the time I spent with Adam, the improvements were significant especially in the target areas above. Adam is a great trainer and gave me loads of helpful tips on exercises that I could do in my own time. Adam also helped me with my diet – what I should and shouldn’t be eating and drinking. As a result, I lost 13 pounds of fat.
Between myself and Adam, we reduced an already impressive 8:46 1.5 miles run to 7:55. The 2 tests were done within 4 weeks of each other so these are some impressive results. Well done!
